The Year of Faith at Sacred Heart!

The Spirit that Jesus received and remained with him to fulfill his mission is also the Spirit that is with us throughout our lives as well. Celebrate your baptism!
Fr. David Martin, January 13, 2013

Welcome to the Sacred Heart Parish Family on behalf of Fr. Dave Fleck, our Administrator, and Fr. Ron Kreilein, our Associate Pastor, and all the members of our parish! We are located in Vincennes, Indiana, and for over 100 years we have been part of the one, universal, Catholic Church united with the Pope, and with our bishop in the diocese of Evansville, Indiana. We share in the mission of the Church, which is the salvation of all souls.

If you are new to Sacred Heart Parish, or would like more information about our parish, about the Catholic Faith, or about growing in faith and receiving the Sacraments, please click here.

We are dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, who knows the depths of His Father's Love, and so reveals to us the abyss of His Mercy (c.f. Catechism of the Catholic Church 1439).

The Eucharistic Sacrifice is the source and life of our parish. When the bread becomes the Body of Christ, those who receive it also become one body in Christ. When the wine is transformed into His Blood, so also are those who receive it transformed. The command to "do this in remembrance of me" is not simply a recollection of a past event, but a promise of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ, and a call to live out, even today, the life we have in Christ.

Giver of Life
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, guide us through each day…
We are yours in word, and deed, and everything we pray…
You know our hearts are willing, and we know our life is yours…
Protect all those we love this day, in any spiritual wars…
Thank you for the gift of life, may we never doubt your love…
For every grace and blessing, we seek from God above…
This day and ever more…Amen

The Good Shepherd Prayer Apostolate (GOSPA)
2nd Saturday of each Month
Noon Saturday through 6 am Sunday

Jesus gave His whole life for you?
Can you give Him an hour of prayer?

The Good Shepherd Prayer Apostolate was formed to be in prayer for our bishop, our priests, our seminarians, and our whole diocese.  Each person or group who takes a part is part of a great chain of prayer that reaches throughout the 12 counties of our diocese, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Find GOSPA on facebook.
